Safety alert: New cholesterol drug INCREASES blood pressure

The drug TORCETRAPIB has been found to increase blood pressure. This drug is used to increase HDL or beneficial cholesterol levels while decreasing LDL ie harmful cholesterol levels. This is a laudable goal, however the increase in blood pressure creates a dilemma for those using and prescribing this drug. To use or not to use? Further information is definitely needed. My advice? Educate yourself thoroughly on cholesterol and it's metabolism, and the intelligent nutritional decisions you can make to maintain optimal cholesterol levels in your bloodstream. I on my part will do my utmost to provide the information to make such decisions.

To your abundant health,
Dr Ike,
